If you look at the beast as human’s capability of irrationality, the youngs kid that join Jack as the muslims who are susceptable to that irrationality and do evil things out of ignorance. And for example-Piggy (the rational one) ended up being killed by the young kids because he was the unpopular intellectual who opposed the irrationality and savagry of Jack’s tribe (islam) and his ideals. Theres more that adds to this picture…

Lord of the Flies was a great book, but I think you’re over thinking it just a bit…I’m sure you could make a case like this out of just about any book dealing with the struggle of order versus chaos…
