Question from Non: How to deal with angry parents?
So two days ago, my mother and I became in engaged in an argument concerning school. Apparently saying that she has no money to pay for my college and that the only reason why she wants me to go to college and enter the medical field for her benefit is a way to anger her and “scar” her deeply. In addition, she invaded my privacy and turned my room upside down. She found a picture of me and my boyfriend kissing and deleted it. I found that really rude and unnecessary. She is giving me the silent treatment and is just completely ignoring me. Although I know the second reason why she got mad is reasonable, i believe that the first is not. I don’t know how to handle her. Should i just remain silent too and just wait for her to blow up at me (which is mostly likely to occur during the weekend) or should i talk to her and just apologize? I’m reluctant to do the either. What do you suggest ?
