Natural Remedy for Scars – How to Reduce Scars Using Honey

Don’t you just wish that your scar would just magically fade away and be as smooth as it once was when you were a baby? There are a lot of medicines that promise to work wonders but it would still be nice to stick to a natural remedy for scars to avoid any adverse effects. One of nature’s gifts to us in treating scars is Honey. Yes, the sweet food we’ve come to know has a lot of medical benefits which includes alleviating skin conditions.

The idea of Honey’s power as a natural remedy for scars lies behind its antioxidant properties that help in skin regeneration to make it look soft young and fresh. Honey is all natural since it is made by the bees collecting nectar from the flowers. It has an antibacterial property that helps wounds and burns from scarring. The best prevention is applying honey on the wound itself before it even scar.

The use of honey as a natural remedy for scars is also very easy. You just have to apply it directly on the scar or wound by using a clean spoon or stick and spread it on the affected area. It needs continuous application until the scar has faded away.

If you will use it to remove acne scars, it is best to combine it with oatmeal through a blender. Just the same way, apply the honey and oatmeal mixture onto your clean face and leave it for 15 to 30 minutes. Then remove the mixture with a damp piece of cloth and then rinse your face thoroughly using warm water.

The application of honey on the wound should be done regularly for it to be more effective in reducing scars. It is the bees’ gift to us to get that scar-free look back again.

Question from Tim: Do you think my English is good or bad?

I am a foreign exchanged student from Japan and I’ve only been studying English for about 5 months. So I was just wondering what do you think about this short essay I wrote for getting rid of acne scars?

“Take a cotton ball and squeeze a bit of lemon juice on it, then proceed to dab the cotton ball little by little on your acne scars. Do this daily, at least twice a day (once in the morning and once at night) and try not to expose your skin to sunlight too much. Try doing this for at least a month. You should see a small difference after 2-3 weeks if done properly. Now this is the most natural way to get rid of acne scars because lemon juice has a certain chemical of acid in it that burns everything it touches.

Otherwise, you could take the fast and easy route by going to the Dermatologist and undergo skin laser removal as this kind of procedure eliminates the top layer of your skin to remove (or reduce the appearance) of acne scars on your skin. But it is extremely costly though, around 5-10 thousands of dollars (depending on the Dermatologist) to get this procedure done. So if you have enough money to afford such an expensive procedure then feel free to do so, otherwise you could just take the easy route provided above.”

Is my English good or bad? I am still relatively new at the English language so please bare with me as I have a long ways to learn before I could be truly proficient in speaking and writing in English.

Very good considering the amount of time you’ve had to learn English, which is a difficult language. There are some minor errors:

dermatologist doesn’t need to be capitalized

laser skin, not skin laser

(or reduce the appearance of)

“But it is extremely costly though” is repetitive, change to either “But it is extremely costly” or “It is extremely costly though”

“bear with me” not “bare with me”
